Sugar and Breast Cancer

Sugar and Breast Cancer

Sugar Identified as Main Feeder to Cancer Cells

Hey it's Dean your Wellness Coach.  The article I offered last week called "Sugar & Cancer" exploded on the internet and received the greatest feedback since we started. If you have not read it yet, please read it here:  http://fit2winwellness.com/blog/sugar-and-cancer/

I Don't Want To Sound Cynical, But ...

Breast cancer is a devastating disease, and I want to destroy this ravaging illness. As you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and I see a massive problem in this so-called 'awareness campaign'. Cancer is a very serious health issue and I want the truth to get out into society. And here it is: I've been researching the link between sugar and disease for over two decades. It's a FACT - SUGAR FEEDS CANCER CELLS!  Have you heard this fact from the health industry?  Why?

"Sugar is the main feeder to cancer. By cutting off sugar you eliminate the main food supply to the cancer cells." Period!

Here's Some Controversy:

And yet the link between sugar and cancer is not well known, covered up, hidden, or simple ignored. Again, we need to ask - Why? Is it that 'Breast Cancer Awareness' is big business?   Lea Goldman, Editor In Chief at Lifetime, says: "Some $6 BILLION a year is committed to breast cancer research and awareness campaigns. Is it any wonder that the disease has become a gold mine for pink profiteers...?"

If you, or someone you know has cancer, when was the last time you heard the health industry even mention the link between sugar and disease? After several decades of awareness, and the tens of billions funneled into research, you would think they would have stumbled across this glaring fact.

"What Did I Just See ...?"

Last week I saw a large group of enthusiastic ladies, dressed in pink and wearing pink ribbons, raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness. How were they raising money for this worthy cause? The hand painted sign said it all; "Cakes for Cancer". Yes, they were selling sugary pastries to help raise awareness of this deadly disease - a disease that literally thrives on sugar!  I will let you know about the conversation I had with them another time - It was eye opening.

The Sky's Are Pink:

As I boarded my delta flight traveling to speak at a large corporate event, all the Delta employees were dressed in pink, or had pink ribbons, pink ties, even a pink wig, etc. The friendly stewardess  announced; "If you contribute $2 or more to Breast Cancer Awareness we will give you a can of pink lemonade..."  - loaded with over 10 teaspoons of sugar.  Each year, Delta employees and customers raise more than $2 million for the American Cancer Society (ACS) - One sugary can of lemonade at a time. Yes, I spoke to the Delta rep about this too. They are doing a good thing - but does it work?

Pink Ink:

People across America sacrifice their time and resources, and invest great effort to raise money for cancer awareness. I am very sympathetic to these amazing "awareness warriors" who sincerely believe they are helping drive a stake in the heart of cancer. As stated above, $6 BILLION a year is committed to breast cancer research and awareness campaigns. And yet we need to ask - Is it working?

Lea Goldman also says:  "...yet what many in the breast cancer community are loathe to admit, despite all these lifesaving developments, is that, in fact, we are really no closer to a cure today than we were two decades ago. In 1991, 119 women in the U.S. died of breast cancer every single day. Today, that figure is 110 per day - a victory no one is bragging about. Breast cancer remains the leading cancer killer among women ages 20 to 59; more than 1.4 million new cases are diagnosed annually worldwide."

Facts We Need to Know:

  • The U.S. spends more than $1 trillion each year fighting the damaging health effects of sugar, which includes obesity, cancer, diabetes, and heart disease
  • Obesity is responsible for an estimated 500,000 cancer cases worldwide each year
  • Both sugar and overeating in general cause mitochondrial dysfunction, which can lead to DNA damage and result in cancer

A recent study concluded about sugar:  As much as 40 percent of US healthcare expenditures are for diseases directly related to the overconsumption of sugar. - (Suisse Research Institute's 2013 study)

Without Sugar, Cancer Cannot Thrive

One of the most powerful strategies to avoid and/or treat cancer is to starve the cancer cells by depriving them of their food source, which is primarily sugar.

Unlike all the other cells in your body, which can burn carbs or fat for fuel, cancer cells can only thrive if there's enough sugar present.

German cancer researcher Dr. Otto Warburg was actually given a Nobel Prize in 1931 for discovering the link between sugar and cancer.  https://thetruthaboutcancer.com/otto-warburg-cancer/

Eliminate Sugar!

"Make no mistake about it, the FIRST thing you should do if you want to avoid or treat cancer is to cut out ALL forms of sugar/fructose (and grain carbs) from your diet, in order to optimize the signaling pathways that contribute to malignant transformation.

My Final Controversial Statement:

"You can promote "awareness" until you run out of pink ink. You can raise billions more dollars to research for the next thousand years. But until we focus on PREVENTION and REMISSION many people are going to needlessly suffer or even die. It's high time for truth to be spoken."   -  Dean Rosson
